The Professional Musky Tournament Trail events are the most high profile, exciting, educational and entertaining musky tournaments in the country. The PMTT’s high energy format has been developed not only with the Pro’s in mind, but also the dozens and dozens of other excellent musky anglers who may have the desire and ability to become Pro’s or just enjoy a little competition and want to have a good time. Success in the PMTT can take you down many roads, no matter what your skill level. Come join the PMTT and have fun.

Party In The Street

July 4th

Downtown Eagle River

10:00am – 11:00am – Music, food and beer garden available at the corner of Main and Wall Street

11:00 am – Kick off of the 4th of July Parade. Celebrate our nations’ freedom and Eagle River’s hometown pride by taking in our spectacular parade with over 80 entrants including many specialty floats.

12:30 – 3pm – Wall Street, in the first two blocks First to Railroad Street, will continue to be shut down to traffic to continue the festivities after the parade. Music , food, entertainment for children and the beer garden will be available on Wall Street.

Fireworks Display – New Location for 2018

Then, when dusk arrives on this celebratory day, come view the colorful fireworks shot high in the sky over the Vilas County Fairgrounds located on Hwy 70W of Eagle River.

Eagle River Fishing Day For Kids

July 12th

This is fun filled day for children between the ages of 7-12 years old. Area fishing mentors come together to share the beautiful Northwoods by taking a child fishing for the afternoon. It’s a great event where many fishing tales and traits are shared and learned. Pre-registration is required. There are 50 spots available for kids to participate and are on a first come first serve bases. Registration/Check-in at the Vilas County Fairgrounds for children 7-12 years old. Parents/Guardian please stay with your child until he/she is assigned to a guide.10:00 – 11:00 am. “How To Tips” Fishing Seminars10:30 – 11:30 am. Casting Contest11:30 a.m. Drawing to fish with Mentors – Parents/Guardians, please meet with the guide and fill out permission slips before leaving your child.12:00 (Noon) Mentors and Kids leave to go fishing – Bag lunch and soda/water provided4:00 pm. Mentors and Kids return from fishing. Kids need to be picked up at the Vilas County Fairgrounds at 4:00 pm sharp.

32nd Annual National Championship Musky Open

August 17th-19th

The Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center and Musky Clubs Alliance of Wisconsin, Inc. are pleased to announce the 33rd Annual National Championship Musky Open Tournament August 17 – 19, 2018.

Our door prizes and raffle prizes will be better than ever! The Grand Door Prize is a 2018 Mercury Powered Ranger Boat with a RangerTrail trailer. Other prizes have been supplied by Shimano, PowerPro Line, G Loomis Tackle, Lowrance, St. Croix Rods, Shoeder’s RV & Marine, Super Slayer Tackle Company, Musky Hunter Magazine, Minn Kota, Fittante Taxidermy/Replicas, H3O Polarized, Musky Bumper, Days Inn of Eagle River, Enticer Tackle, General Beer Northwoods, Suick Lure Company, Waterworks Specialists and Z Leaders Fishing Rigs.

Our tournament headquarters will be at Vilas County Fairgrounds on Highway 70 West, just blocks from downtown Eagle River. Registration and orientation will be at the headquarters where you will receive your registration packet.

Please note the registration hours, briefing times and fishing hours. All contestants must attend a briefing before fishing and must register in person.

The entry fee will be $60.00 on or before August 1, 2018. Please note that all walk-in entry fees at the tournament headquarters will be $65.00 cash. We would like as many entrants as possible to pre-register before August 1, 2018. This makes it easier for the tournament to have the proper number of hats, entrant bags and any other information. Should you need to register after August 1, 2018 you will need to do so at the tournament headquarters. No pre-registration will be accepted after August 1, 2018.

To be eligible for the Early Bird Drawing, you must register before May 15, 2018. Our Early Bird Prize is two nights lodging by the Days Inn in Eagle River (subject to availability).

Food is available for purchase at Tournament Headquarters Thursday and Saturday night from 3pm – 9pm and on Sunday from 11am – 3pm. Food provided by the Eagle River Rotary Club.

We will mail you a confirmation registration card. Please keep your copy and bring it to tournament registration.
